Self-Bunded Fuel Tank Procurement
Refinery Direct procures and supplies self-bunded fuel storage for commercial, industrial, mining and agricultural sites. Our range runs from compact fuel cubes holding up to 10,000 litres through to FT-Series units of 120,000 litres gross capacity. Every unit is designed to AS 1940 and built to AS 1692 Category 3, with the fitout matched to how fuel is actually used on your site.
CHOOSING A TANK

FUEL CUBES
Self-Bunded Fuel Cubes
Our self-bunded fuel cubes suit smaller applications where storage of up to 10,000 litres is needed. Compact enough to sit alongside the plant they serve, they give a site a self-contained refuelling point without the infrastructure of a permanent installation. Where more than 10,000 litres is required, see the FT-Series below.

Fuel cubes work particularly well on remote sites. Holding product close to the work removes the wait on scheduled deliveries and keeps operations moving, while the self-bunded design contains any leak or spill within the unit rather than letting it reach the ground.

Each cube has forklift pockets so it can be repositioned as work moves across a site, and a protective coating rated for harsh conditions including extreme heat and sustained rain. An access manhole allows internal inspection and maintenance, and every unit is subject to the same quality control as the rest of our range.

Cubes are a straightforward way to store and dispense diesel on site, and they can be customised to your specification.
FT-Series Self-Bunded Fuel Tanks
The FT-Series covers larger installations, from 30,500 to 120,000 litres gross capacity. Each unit is a tank within a tank: an inner storage vessel held inside an external bund, so any loss from the primary tank is contained within the unit itself. ISO container lock castings mean the tank is handled and transported with standard container equipment, and an integrated pump bay with lockable weatherproof doors keeps dispensing equipment secure and out of the weather.

COMPLIANCE & CONSTRUCTION
Built to Australian Standards
Our FT-Series tanks are designed to AS 1940, the Australian Standard for the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids, and built to AS 1692 Category 3. Each unit is supplied with manufacture and compliance plates fitted, and with statutory signage to suit the location it will be installed in. Where your site has specific regulatory requirements, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will specify to them.

Fuel Management Systems
Our fuel management system allows remote and unattended tanks to operate without a person on site. Transactions and tank data are transmitted in real time to a cloud-based platform accessible from anywhere, giving you live visibility of stock levels, consumption and reorder points. For sites running to a supply schedule, this takes the guesswork out of when to order and how much.
Customisation and Project Supply
Customisation
Both the fuel cube and FT-Series ranges can be customised. If your site needs a different pump configuration, additional monitoring, particular signage or a specific coating, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will specify to it.
Project Supply
We also procure project-related equipment for fuel, petrochemical and oil and gas installations. Provide your technical specifications and we will source to them.
